its a dogs life
I thought I would introduce my friend and confidante Honey……….A good friend of mine who happened to be my friend and confidante before taking off for a new life in Houston, Texas…gifted her to me just before Christmas 2005…..She doesn’t shop, do lunch or offer advice, but she like my friend is good company, lots of fun and an extremely good listener….LOL
She told me that in tibet it is seen as gifting good luck,when one gifts a Lhasa Apso…also that each of these dogs possess the soul of a tibetan monk, at one point the monks used these as guard dogs unsure if they still do…must find out…
Whilst scouring the i to i brochure for ideas for my travels there is on offer a placement where you can stay with monks in the monastary and experience some aspects of monastic life whilst visiting the sacred sites and great temples, part of the placement also involved teaching english to the monks…..sounds so tempting as I would love to visit the sacred sites and temples whilst learning more about the budhist traditions and religion
In the meantime I spent the afternoon travelling cyberstyle to a beautiful place called Albufeira, somewhere in Portugal the gateway to the Algarve so I believe……..Sat and admired some wonderful images, read a little of the history and thoroughly enjoyed my cyber visit…
Then enlivened by all that sunshine and blue skies and beaches changed the look of my blog to relfect something a little brighter and lighter and now Im in spring mode and dancing the Lambada and ………………………….Who knows where I will end up!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can anyone babysit a fluffy friend for a year or two….wonder if they will let me take her to tibet?????
